The economy of Uttarakhand in 2008-09 has grown by 12.13% and the per capita income in the state has risen from Rs.16783 in 2000-2001 to Rs.28671 in 2008-09 GSDP (at constant price 1999-2000).
The per capita income in Uttarakhand grew at a compound annual growth rate of 7.16 percent per
annum between fiscal years 2000-2001 and 2006-2007. In 2006-2007, the per capita income of the state stood at Rs. 32077.
Uttarakhand’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP at current prices in 2006-2007 was 29848 have gone up by 133% from 1999-2000 to 2006-2007. The Net State Domestic Product (NSDP) in 2006-2007 at current prices was Rs 25900.
